These five concept territories were developed through a structured creative discovery process rooted in AFFA's institutional position, Azerbaijan's visual heritage, and the competitive context of UEFA and FIFA identity systems.

Each direction has been stress-tested against three criteria: distinctiveness (could only AFFA own this?), scalability (does it work from a 16px favicon to a stadium banner?), and institutional credibility (does it hold its ground in a UEFA press conference backdrop?)

The Eternal
Flame

A solitary flame mark — abstract, upward, sovereign. Rooted in Zoroastrian fire temple tradition. Powerful as a standalone symbol, scalable across every medium.

Flame
as Player

The flame silhouette fuses with a figure in motion. Fire and footballer merge into a single gestalt shape. The most kinetic, the most distinctly sports-coded direction.

The Fire
Arrow

The flame becomes directional — upward, forward, ascending. Ambition encoded in a symbol. Works brilliantly in motion and digital animation contexts.

The Three
Flames

Three flames — a direct reference to the Flame Towers of Baku. The city itself as AFFA's symbol. The only concept built from a contemporary Baku landmark. A mark that owns the skyline.

Shield

Traditional football federation crest architecture with the flame as its sovereign content. Institutional weight. UEFA-compatible framing. The fire inside the badge, not the badge itself.
